This evening we started at the beginning (Genesis 1:1), and found out that when it all started, God the Father, God the Son and The Holy Spirit were all there (John 1: 1-2 & Gen 1: 1-2). Then we had to “dig in” to find out who the Holy Spirit really is. Check out Psalm 104 for a great description of how the Father sustained his creation. We also referenced (2 Peter 1:20-21) and (Luke 1:26-37) to help identify the Holy Spirit. It was revealed that the Holy Spirit was essential in bringing the “Word of God” and the “Son of God”
Lastly, we looked at what the Holy Spirit means to us. It was a great night and we were all reminded that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! (2 Cor 5:17)
KEY THOUGHT: Just like He did with the world in the beginning, the Holy Spirit makes us a new creation; replacing our heart of stone with a heart of flesh.
Our Memory Verse Hebrews 11:1-5
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. By faith Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain did. By faith he was commended as a righteous man, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith he still speaks, even though he is dead. By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death; he could not be found, because God had taken him away. For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God.
Remember, we will be meeting again next Sunday (April 18th ) to get back on schedule. Have a great week.

God the Holy Spirit
