John 14:4-7 was our guide as we looked at Jesus’ own claim that He is the WAY TO HEAVEN, the WORDS OF TRUTH, and the FULL LIFE. 

We searched God’s word to find that Jesus is trust worthy because He stands with God, who also testifies in His favor. (John 8:14-18)  Tonight was also our first exposure to the idea that God is one being but three distinctly different persons.

Amongst such intense theological discussion we also tackled such mind boggling questions as, “is your dad George Washington or Michael Jackson?”  And as we pondered that we heard from the background “cough, cough…have you ever been sick?”  Needless to say it was a productive night, not only by evidence of these questions but also the fact that we have evidence of budding young love.  I am not at liberty to say who, what, or how but the white board gave testimony to the reality of this fact, “I       *****.”  Keep an eye on our group next week as we see what to do with this information.

Key Thought: Truth and life come from God the Father, but are delivered through the Son.

Our memory verse this week is Hebrews 11:1-3...

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.  This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
